	Lauro Vives Founding President and Chief Executive Officer Chief Analyst

With over 18 years of experience, Mr. Vives is responsible for the intellectual capital and entire operations of XMG.

Prior to establishing XMG, Mr. Vives was META Group Vice-President, Asia Pacific.  With a diverse background as an industry analyst for XMG and META Group, Mr. Vives continues to be a trusted advisor to several Fortune 1000 companies and public sector organizations in the areas of: executive-level strategy and decision making, global strategic outsourcing, service delivery excellence, market and competitive intelligence, and enterprise architecture.

Mr. Vives is regularly quoted in several press and trade journals worldwide. Mr. Vives is also regularly featured on ABS-CBN News as an industry analyst on matters related to ICT and has also appeared on international news channels such as Bloomberg, CSPAN and MSNBC.

Before joining META Group, Mr. Vives was the CIO of one of the largest Canadian real estate and property development corporation.  Mr. Vives' previous positions include Director, Business Solutions for a major financial institution, Manager, Operations and Technology Management for an insurance company, and a Senior Consultant and Project Manager for IBM Global Services. 

As an analyst, Mr. Vives has often been asked by Global 2000 companies to assist in minimizing their risks by generating insights of the opportunities and critical issues facing the global ICT and ICT-enabled services market.

Mr. Vives has a Bachelor of Science, Major in Computer Science from the University of Regina (Canada) and an Executive MBA from the University of Warwick (England).  Mr. Vives is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in Pennsylvania, USA.  Mr. Vives is based in Canada.
