Guiding Principles on Independence, Neutrality and Objectivity
XMG, Inc. is the premiere provider of unbiased and highly actionable IT research, advisory and consulting services to help companies become agile, adaptive and efficient in the use or marketing of information technology and information technology-enabled services. Our independent position in the global information technology and communications industry assures the integrity of our assessment and the quality of our guidance.
To maintain our independence, neutrality and objectivity, we at XMG subscribe to the following principles that guide our work values:
- XMG will guarantee that our independence will never be compromised and that our recommendations will always be unbiased and solely in the interests of our client.
- XMG will maintain its own internal knowledge base to facilitate rapid and direct access to its cumulative experience, statistics and insights.
- XMG will completely remain vendor independent and will not align or partner with any hardware or software vendor or services provider.
- XMG will not write or develop marketing white papers as we believe this could potentially influence our ability to consistently provide an honest critical assessment of vendor products or services.
- XMG will always develop a set of independent parameters on all client engagements to ensure that the research and consulting agenda is free of external influence.
- XMG recommendations to a client for a particular vendor product or solution will use an independent and open methodology to systematically assess the vendors' capabilities.
- XMG will maintain an objective market and performance analysis of vendor products and services even if these vendors are clients of XMG. Regardless of the outcome of our assessment, we believe that we will be doing our vendor clients a disservice if we do not maintain this objective perspective.
- XMG will not do physical implementation beyond the project management level. We believe this could potentially compromise and influence our objectivity.
- XMG will remain transparent and convey the mechanisms of our deliverables to all our clients to ensure the engagement was completed without bias.
- XMG will not allow executives and analysts to be members of the board, own stocks or hold personal investments in the technology sector they cover to insure impartiality.
